Luna and Galaxy both Pinto's
Were paired on 28th April and I'm pleased to announce that on 1st June Luna gave birth. She has built a very protective nest so at this stage I have no idea of how many babies she has given birth to.

Day 34 Honey has given birth/is giving birth
2nd March 2010
While hovering in the hedgie room I noticed Honey hadn't eaten her meal worms since holding her previous the night, or used her litter tray. She hasn't made a nest since the big clean out on day 30 even though the little bugger had been making them since day one so I wasn't expecting any babies yet.
I removed the lid of the house and hey presto one tiny babe, whether she will have more I don't know. Initially I'd say he/ she is a mini Honey but given that she was paired with a high white pinto who knows
Update Day One
While I was upstairs in my room I heard loud squeaking. Thinking it was honeys baby I went into the hedgie room to check everything was OK only to find it was actually Mr Independent (Apricot Baby) from Mrs Sparkles litter protesting loudly because she was trying to nudge him back into the nest lol. He had other ideas.
While I was in there Honey came out for crickets, as she hadn't built a nest and she wasn't on edge or jumpy I lifted the lid to find 3 babies all mini Honeys as far as I can tell at this stage, but as I said dad is a high White pinto so its too early to know what colour they will be.
Blimey they are sooooo small. It's amazing how much they grow within the first 10 days.
This morning when I initially looked she had only had 1 babe she was obviously in the middle of giving birth.
Update Day Two
I just want to make it clear I would not encourage anyone to look inside the nest box 2 day old babies. I bred Honey myself and have been handling her since she was 10 days old. She chose not to make a nest for herself and the babies even though she'd been practising making them since she was first paired
With the fantastic houses made by crittercribz (see links page) I was able to remove one side of the roof while she was out eating her mealies. Again I'm NOT encouraging anyone else to do this .
OK here are Honeys Babies 2 days old. I think I can see the beginnings of some dark patches on one or two of them ?????/ But is way too early to say for sure.
